Let’s work together: the stress-free way to get great copy.

I’m here to make your copy better and your life easier. There’s enough things to get stressed about, without me adding to it.

Instead, I’m here to make the production of great copy, content and stories as straightforward as possible.

To do that, I use my 4D approach so you know what to expect at every stage, and to make sure you get exactly what you want.

1. Discovery.

Every relationship and every project starts here. This is when I find out who you are, what you’re looking for, and how I can help you. Just as importantly, it’s an opportunity for you to decide whether you want to work with me.

Once we’ve arranged a time to talk, I’ll send you a short set of questions. These are just to help structure our conversation: they don’t need a written answer and shouldn’t take much advanced preparation.

If you’re based in Kanton Zürich, then this meeting is usually face to face. Otherwise, Zoom is our friend.

  • Cost: There are no costs attached to the discovery stage.

  • Tip: Designate your own project owner and main point of contact and get them involved ASAP. 

2. Design.

It’s a match, and we’ve decided to work together.

This is when I go away and put together a proposal for your content. This will include details of the final output, how I will develop it, and what I’ll need from you and your team.

I’ll also send over the budget, a timetable for delivery, and a copy of my terms and conditions.

Don’t worry, you haven’t yet committed to anything yet. If the proposal is not what you were expecting, or you have any questions at this stage, then I’m happy to discuss and make any adjustments. You can also reject it outright and move on.

When the proposal is agreed, that’s when we are locked in. I’ll send you an invoice for 50% of the total costs, and get started on the next stage.

  • Cost: There are no costs attached to the design stage.

  • Tip: Make sure everyone who will be involved in approving the final output is also involved in approving the project proposal. It helps prevent the dreaded ‘content by committee’ and keeps everything on track.

3. Development.

This is when I start interviewing your spokespeople to get their insight, do any desk research that is needed, start looking at your data tables where relevant, and get writing. I won’t be completely silent during this period as I’ll be keeping you updated on progress.

I’ll deliver the first draft on the agreed date and from then you have 7 days to feedback on what you like, whether there are edits to be made, and any other comments that you have. I’ll then make any necessary adjustments and send it back to you.

  • Cost: 50% of the agreed fee is paid at the beginning of the development stage, and is non-refundable.

  • Tip: Gather all feedback from multiple stakeholders in one document before sending it to me. It is the smoothest path to getting content that everybody likes.

4. Delivery.

We repeat the amending process until you’re happy – the exact number of amendment rounds is included in the proposal.  

If I don’t hear from you within 7 days, I’ll assume you are delighted and I’ll send you the invoice for the outstanding amount.

And that’s it. You have copy that you can send on to your designer, your social media manager, your PR agency, or whoever else is going to be using it (Although I do recommend that any copy that is designed up is proof-read again for peace of mind!)

After that, sit back and watch your engagement go up. Monitor and save responses from your audiences. They can feed into the next project.

  • Cost: 50% is paid on delivery of final draft – to be followed by lots of audience engagement and ROI.

  • Tip: Think about ways you could re-use your content so you get maximum benefit from your copywriting buck.
